The Ram offers four engines for 2026, including the returning HEMI V8 and a 540-horsepower Hurricane High Output. The Tundra drops the V8 entirely, using a twin-turbo V6 and an available i-Force Max hybrid that makes 437 horsepower.
The Tundra edges the Ram on maximum towing, up to 12,000 versus 11,610 pounds. Both are strong haulers, and the Ram’s Hurricane and HEMI engines give it more ways to configure power.
The Ram 1500 is the class comfort leader, with a coil-spring rear and available air suspension for a smooth ride and a quiet, upscale cabin. The Tundra feels more rugged and truck-like inside.
Choose the Tundra for a standard twin-turbo V6, an available hybrid, and Toyota’s durability reputation. Choose the Ram 1500 for a wider engine range, the returning HEMI V8, and a smoother ride. At ALM CDJR Perry, a new Ram 1500 can add ALM VIP Club benefits and our Included Lifetime Warranty on qualifying vehicles.
