The Cherokee includes all-wheel drive on every trim and backs it with Jeep engineering and a 3,500-pound tow rating, double the RAV4’s. The RAV4 starts front-wheel drive with all-wheel drive available, and offers a rugged TRD Off-Road trim of its own.
The 2026 RAV4 is hybrid-only and rated slightly higher on fuel economy, up to about 39 mpg combined, and it starts several thousand dollars lower. The Cherokee answers with all-wheel drive included at every trim and a higher tow rating, so the comparison comes down to price and efficiency versus capability.
The Cherokee’s hybrid makes 210 horsepower with all-wheel-drive traction in every model. The RAV4 hybrid makes about 226 horsepower with instant electric torque and quiet around-town driving.
Choose the RAV4 for the lowest price and the highest fuel economy. Choose the Cherokee for standard all-wheel drive, more towing, and Jeep capability. At ALM CDJR Perry, a new Cherokee can add ALM VIP Club benefits and our Included Lifetime Warranty on qualifying vehicles.
