The Mustang keeps a traditional V8, up to 500 horsepower in the Dark Horse, with a turbo four as the base. The Charger uses a twin-turbo inline-six on gas models (up to 550 horsepower) and offers the electric Daytona with up to 670.
The Charger offers a four-door sedan as well as a coupe, so it can serve as a daily family car. The Mustang is a coupe or convertible only, a more classic two-door muscle car.
The Mustang starts much lower, around $34,635 versus about $51,990 for the gas Charger, which makes it the value pick, while the Charger offers more body styles, an EV, and more top power.
Choose the Mustang for a V8 and a lower price. Choose the Charger for a four-door option, an electric Daytona, and up to 670 horsepower. At ALM CDJR Perry, a new Charger can add ALM VIP Club benefits and our Included Lifetime Warranty on qualifying vehicles.
